Who is Greenland Organic ?

Greenland Organic is a young Andalusian family business launched by Antonio, a young producer whose family were organic pioneers in the 1990s.

Keen to continue the family tradition, Antonio realised that in order to ensure that organic farmers were fairly rewarded, it was necessary to move away from the traditional channels of resale to large retailers, who certainly buy large quantities, but at a price that he felt was too low for the work involved.

To break out of this system, you have to find your own customers.

Antonio knew that demand was strong, and that finding consumer groups was therefore possible.

Goals and challenges

What it lacked was the ability to develop digital tools to help it be found and win new customers, as well as making it easier to take orders and communicate with these groups.

The site had to be accessible to people from all over the world, so it had to be produced in 4 languages: French, Spanish, English (and German to come).

Access to the shop also had to be limited to groups that had already been manually validated by Antonio, as the delivery system uses a goods carrier, so it was essential to check delivery options first.

Among the functionalities installed were :

  • a customised multilingual shop, which can also be used to generate a seasonal calendar for the products on offer on the site
  • a newsletter system for communicating with people who are curious about the concept, but also directly with groups, according to their language
  • the installation of a self-hosted audience measurement system without the need for a cookie banner to improve the user experience (in compliance with the RGPD)
  • multiple multilingual conditional forms to manage requests to contact the company or groups, or requests to create a consumer group

The outcome

A visual identity has been created for this project (the logo already existed), with green and yellow as the main colours, to reflect the agricultural and sunny aspects.

Extensive local SEO work has been carried out to generate content pages for each geographically localized group, making it easy to produce new content as the consumer network grows.

As well as being a powerful marketing tool, the website saves precious time by automating a number of tasks that were previously carried out manually (creating catalogues, emails, taking orders, managing payments, invoicing, etc).
