The appointment management process has been greatly simplified, freeing up a significant amount of time for medical secretaries.

Presentation of the company

GastroSud brings together 3 gastroenterology centres located on the island of Réunion. The name comes from the fact that they are the most southerly French-speaking gastroenterology centres on Earth.

The practices are located in the towns of Saint Louis, Saint Pierre and Saint Joseph.

Gastroenterology, proctology and micro-nutrition consultations are provided, as well as medical examinations such as gastric fibroscopy and ultrasound scans.

Reasons for creating a medical website

We had already created a medical website for a practice on Reunion Island, which interested the Gastrosud doctors.

Managing appointments, automatic reminders, cancellations and modifications, and email exchanges to obtain patient information (prescriptions, medication lists, etc.) are all administrative tasks that quickly saturate medical secretariats.

Gastrosud wanted to remedy this and, above all, to have controlled Internet visibility. Unlike popular subscription-based solutions such as Doctolib, our solution is self-hosted, flexible and much more comprehensive.

Doctors can choose the content made available to Internet users, are not tied to a private platform whose conditions of use can change from year to year, and have control over their patients’ precise medical data.

The result

Each medical practice has its own dedicated page to present its team, with photos of the practice.

Contact details can be easily updated via an interface in the content management system.

A modern appointment booking module allows patients to choose the day and time that suits them best for their examination.

Automated emailing of appointments and reminders also saves a great deal of time.

The complex schedules of the various doctors can be configured, as can their periods of leave and special days (for example, when they are working in a clinic).

Patients also have access to a modern interface where they can track their appointments, change the date or time, or simply cancel them.
