GastroSud brings together three gastroenterology centres located on the island of Réunion. The name comes from the fact that these are the southernmost French-speaking gastroenterology centres on Earth.

The offices are located in the cities of Saint Louis, Saint Pierre, and Saint Joseph.

Consultations in gastroenterology, proctology, and micronutrition, as well as medical examinations such as gastric fibroscopies and ultrasounds, are provided there.

Reasons for creating a medical website

We had already created a medical website for a practice in Réunion, which caught the attention of the doctors at Gastrosud.

Managing appointments, automatic reminders, cancellations and changes, email exchanges to obtain patient information (prescriptions, medication lists, etc.) are all administrative tasks that quickly overwhelm medical secretaries.

Gastrosud wanted to remedy this and, above all, have controlled online visibility. Unlike popular subscription-based solutions such as Doctolib, our solution is self-hosted, flexible, and much more comprehensive.

Doctors can choose the content made available to internet users, are not tied to a private platform whose terms of use may change from year to year, and have control over their patients’ sensitive medical data.

The result

Each medical practice has its own dedicated page to introduce its team, with photos of the practice.

Contact information can be easily updated in an interface within the content management system.

A modern appointment booking module allows patients to choose the day and time that suits them best for their examination.

Automating the sending of appointment confirmation and reminder emails also saves a lot of time.

The complex schedules of different doctors can be configured, as well as their holiday periods and special days (e.g. when working at a clinic).

Patients also have access to a modern interface where they can track their appointments, change the date or time, or simply cancel them.
